why does time fly when you’re older?

It used to fly when we were having a good time. Let’s get back to that!

I have a lot to do, or rather I have a lot I want to do each day. I’m retired and apart from being a blogger I don’t have a job. So how come it’s Monday and I feel like I’ve wasted a day already?

I had, or I have a plan for today;

Get up early (0930???), do my morning warm up routine, listening to music

Cold shower

Breathwork

Water and supplements

Coffee

My wife meanwhile was up before me, did 20 mins yoga, went to a gym class, came home had coffee, watched some crappy TV, went out again to do a hot yaga class run by her mate.

It’s 1226 now.

The plan was to go to the gym

Then do this blog

Then do Coffee

Then go out on my motorbike/answer WhatsApp/ go for a walk

But it’s too late, I’m not feeling it, it’s cold and raining outside…blah…blah

Does this ring a bell? How did we ever find time to work? Thing is, we now DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. But actually we do. We HAVE to make the most of our lives every day or it WILL be taken from us before we’re ready.

Moral of this story. If like me today, you’ve wasted some time, so be it. Don’t waste anymore. Do something now that you can be proud of. I’m a recovering YouTube-aholic. Think about it, you/we watch people on YouTube/TV basically, doing what they enjoy and having the same conversations, with the same level of knowledge and expertise on the subject as you and I.

It’s 1245 for me and I’m gonna go and make the rest of my day count. Why don’t you?
